Marco Wittmann (DE, Red Bull BMW M4 DTM), Timo Glock (DE, DEUTSCHE POST BMW M4 DTM) and Tom Blomqvist (GB, Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM) scored valuable points by finishing fourth, sixth and tenth in race ten of the DTM season at “Circuit Park Zandvoort”.
Marco Wittmann (DE) finished runner-up in Saturday’s race in Zandvoort (NL) to extend his lead in the DTM Drivers’ Championship. Starting from second on the grid in the Red Bull BMW M4 DTM, the BMW Team RMG driver defended his position to score 18 points towards the overall standings.
Sunday's DTM race at the Norisring (DE) ended with major success for BMW Team RBM: Tom Blomqvist (GB) drove into second place in the Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM, after starting from pole position for the first time in his DTM career.
Marco Wittmann (DE), at the wheel of the Red Bull BMW M4 DTM, finished fourth in Saturday’s DTM race at the Norisring (DE). This represents the 2014 champion’s best ever home result in the DTM. Wittmann drove a great race, fighting his way through the field from 13th on the grid. After 49 laps of racing, he crossed the finish line ahead of Bruno Spengler (CA), who came home fifth in the BMW Bank M4 DTM.
Marco Wittmann (DE) followed up his fourth place in Saturday’s race with another impressive display on Sunday at the Lausitzring (DE). He finished sixth at the wheel of the Red Bull BMW M4 DTM in race two.
Marco Wittmann (DE) is the new leader in the Drivers’ Championship after the fifth DTM race of the year at the Lausitzring (DE). The BMW Team RMG driver started from third on the grid and, after 32 flawless laps and a fierce battle with the drivers behind him, crossed the finish line fourth in the Red Bull BMW M4 DTM. Wittmann now has 47 points to his name, making him the overall leader. Victory in Saturday’s race went to Miguel Molina (ES, Audi).
Two races, two wins – a perfect weekend for BMW at the Red Bull Ring (AT): Timo Glock (DE) celebrated the third win of his career in the popular touring car series in Sunday's DTM race in Spielberg. The day before, Marco Wittmann (DE) got the 70th win in BMW's 250th DTM race. This gave BMW Team RMG reason to celebrate two days in a row.
The 250th race in BMW's DTM history was a successful one: Marco Wittmann (DE) celebrated a lights to flag victory from pole position in his Red Bull BMW M4 DTM and brought home BMW's 70th win in the DTM. Tom Blomqvist (GB) in second place in his Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM clinched the one-two result in Saturday's race at the Red Bull Ring.
