Woodcliff Lake, NJ - June 11, 2007... BMW Motorrad is offering a low suspension
option on its newly released F 800 S and F 800 ST models, beginning in June
2007. This option (order number 499) lowers the F 800 S and F 800 ST by using a
different, shorter rear spring strut. It comes packaged with a low seat
(option number 774) for both models, bringing the final seat height to 29.9
inches.
The low suspension option cannot be combined with the optional centerstand for
the F 800 ST; and the optional center stand is not available for the F 800 S.
The low suspension option is available at authorized BMW Motorrad USA retailers
and has a manufacturers suggested retail price of $175.00.
The sporting F 800 S and its sister model, the sporttouring-oriented F 800 ST,
were introduced this Spring, establishing the all-new BMW Motorrad
twin-cylinder model line. With its parallel twin four-valve engine developed by
BMW Motorrad in close cooperation with Austrian specialist Bombardier-Rotax
GmbH, the two-cylinder model series combines impressive torque and power,
superior responsiveness and good fuel economy -- all in one. After a short
development period, the F 800 S and F 800 ST form BMW Motorrad's 5th engine
series, setting the foundation for more models to come through which BMW will
be closing the gap between the F 650 single-cylinders and its flat-twin
models.
The F800 models are available at BMW Motorrad retailers with optional
two-channel ABS, a wide range of special equipment, and personalization options
to meet the demands of the most discriminating motorcycle enthusiasts.
