Demand for MINI merchandise and accessories is reflecting the UK's love affair
with the new MINI in the lead up to Christmas. Over half a million pounds
worth of merchandise, called MINI Stuff, has been bought since the car went on
sale in July and a new range of accessories will also see MINI looking good and
ready to hit the ski slopes and the surf.

Emma Scammell, MINI's Marketing Manager, commented; "MINI Stuff and accessory
sales are more evidence of the enthusiasm for the new MINI in the UK. We
wanted to inject the personality of the car in MINI Stuff - in other words, top
quality and loads of fun. Accessories are also an important part of the MINI
buying process. Mini owners have always loved customising their cars and we're
offering that same opportunity with the new MINI."

Three of the most popular items of MINI Stuff include the MINI cuckoo clock,
MINI backpack and MINI miniatures.

The MINI cuckoo clock is an hourly reminder to get away from the office and
behind the wheel. The clock face mimics the centrally mounted MINI speedo and
on the hour a miniature MINI shoots out of the adjacent garage, revs its engine
and toots its horn. The under 17's can also own their own MINI with the
huggable MINI cuddly toy and a MINI backpack, available in red or yellow with
the classic Cooper contrasting roof in white.
If you're waiting for your new MINI to arrive or preparing to lay down the
deposit for 2002's hottest car, the 163 bhp supercharged MINI Cooper S, why not
park a MINI on your mantelpiece in the meantime? MINI miniatures are available
in two classic MINI colours and come complete with chrome trim strips, wipers,
tinted windows and a rear-view mirror.

MINI Stuff can be ordered through MINI dealerships or direct over the telephone
on 0800 052 6464. The MINI Stuff shop at www.mini.co.uk is due to open in
early 2002.

The tradition of personalising a Mini continues with the increasing range of
accessories being launched for customers planning to go surfing, skiing or
snowboarding. High-strength aluminium roof rails will be available in January
and can be adapted for snowboards, skis, surfboards, bikes and luggage. Snow
chains will also be available, ensuring that owners don't slip on the way to
the slopes.

MINI owners wanting to stand out have nine different alloy wheels to choose
from with the addition of 17 inch S spokes that form part of a full body kit
including an aerodynamic pack and roof spoiler.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
