At the season-opener of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) in Qatar, the BMW M Hybrid V8 and the BMW M4 GT3 EVO delivered strong performances, making a significant impact in the competition against the world's top manufacturers.
Two BMW model series take first place in their respective vehicle categories in the renowned “Best Cars” readers’ poll of German car magazine “auto motor und sport”. And BMW achieves a triple victory in the UK at “What Car?” magazine’s 2025 “Car of the Year Awards”. BMW thus seamlessly continues its string of successes in competitions in Germany and on international markets.
On the weekend before the season opener of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) in Qatar, four BMW M Motorsport cars completed numerous test laps during the Prologue at the Lusail Circuit. The BMW M Hybrid V8 made a strong impression and set the fastest time. The two hypercars and the two BMW M4 GT3 EVOs were presented for the first time in their new designs.
The first races of the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) are in the books. The Australian Phillip Island season opener turned out to be a rollercoaster of emotions for BMW Motorrad Motorsport and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team. On Saturday, World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu finished second on the podium in the first race of the year. However, Sunday proved to be a challenging day for ‘El Turco’ and his teammate Michael van der Mark.

Familiar names and a strong new addition as the rider lineup for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) is set. South African Steven Odendaal will join the regular riders Markus Reiterberger (GER) and Sylvain Guintoli (FRA). Estonian Hannes Soomer will also be ready again as the fourth rider for the 2025 season.
Just a few weeks after announcing the Hypercar line-up, the GT drivers who will represent BMW M Motorsport in 2025 in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IMSA series) have been confirmed.
Sales increase for the 13th consecutive year to 206,582 vehicles in the 2024 fiscal year. The all-electric BMW i4 M50 remains the best-selling model. The high-performance models BMW M2, BMW M3 Touring, and BMW XM are the biggest growth drivers.

After serving as Executive Chef of BMW Welt’s “EssZimmer by Käfer” for more than a decade, star chef Bobby Bräuer will be leaving the restaurant, effective 31 December 2024. Mixed emotions for the BMW M Motorsport teams and drivers after the FIA GT World Cup in Macau (CHN). Throughout much of the weekend, the pace of the four BMW M4 GT3s on the Guia Circuit was very strong, culminating in a one-two finish for Raffaele Marciello (SUI) and Dries Vanthoor (BEL) in Saturday's qualification race. Consequently, the duo started the main race from the front row.

CO2 emission information.
Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.
All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
