Munich. FC Bayern Munich Basketball inaugurates the new Basketball Bundesliga season at BMW Park. For the start of the 59th season, the German Champion and BBL Pokal winner will face the Niners Chemnitz on September 20th at Munich's Westpark.
In July 2023, BMW München and FCBB launched a long-term mobility partnership. As in the previous season, world champion Andreas Obst’s team will also play their Bundesliga home games in 2024/2025 at BMW Park. In the past premiere season, the venue became a fortress on the way to the club's sixth German championship when FCBB won 16 of its 17 Bundesliga home games at BMW Park.
FC Bayern Munich Basketball also won the BBL Pokal in February at the Top Four tournament at their home BMW Park. A good omen for the title defense mission, which the team, led by new coach Gordon Herbert, will initiate at the end of September in their living room against Chemnitz.
