Munich. Dominic Foos will tee off as BMW Golfsport Ambassador in the future. The 17-year-old youngster makes his first appearance in his new role at the BMW International Open (23rd-28th June, Golfclub München Eichenried) this week.

“I’m really looking forward to working with BMW and the next big step in my career. BMW enjoys an excellent reputation as a golf partner around the world and I am proud to be a part of this now,” said Foos, who was travelling on a BMW Cruise e-Bike during the start of the tournament week at GC München Eichenried. “In the past two years I was able to gain valuable experience on the European Tour at the BMW International Open and experience the passion and attention to detail that BMW dedicates to golf. I will do everything to represent BMW Golfsport the best that I can throughout the world.”

Foos made headlines as a 12-year-old when he achieved a handicap of 0. In comparison: Tiger Woods was a year older when he became a scratch golfer. At 15, Foos was the best amateur of his age in the world rankings and the best German amateur among the men.

Countless national and international victories followed, including two titles in the German International Boys Amateur Championship. As the youngest winner in the history of the tournament, he won the French International Boys Champion title in 2013. The boy born in Karlsruhe achieved the best handicap that a German golfer has managed to date with a handicap of +6.4 in 2013. On his 17th birthday, Foos turned professional.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information are available at www.bmw.de/wltp and at www.dat.de/co2/.
