- Even more attractive and even more distinctive, the Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) sets a new marker in BMW X2 M Mesh Edition form. Based on the M Sport X model, the M Mesh Edition uses design highlights and exclusive appointments to appeal to even more active and outgoing customers in a young and young-at-heart target group. Market launch from November 2020. Premium over M Sport X model in Germany: around €1,500.
- Standalone appearance thanks to BMW M mesh kidney grille in High‑gloss Black with a pronounced three-dimensional mesh inspired by racing cars, plus the new signature colour Frozen Black-Brown metallic. The mocha-like shade can be found on inserts in the bumper trim, the prominent cladding on the side skirts and doors, and the wheel arch trim.
- Eye-catching decals on the bonnet, the sides of the front bumpers and the front and rear doors come as standard. In bold Orange, they provide the perfect complement to the new Brooklyn Grey metallic paint finish exclusive to the M Mesh Edition, as well as the Sapphire Black metallic exterior shade. If Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic or Sunset Orange metallic is specified, the decals come in Black. They can be deleted, if desired.
- New M aerodynamic wheels in 19- and 20-inch formats with inserts in the same colour as the decals.
- The M Mesh Edition adopts the new front-end design of the other X2 models, including clear surfacing and LED headlights with integrated bad weather light. Adaptive LED Headlights with a four-segment matrix function for high beam and BMW Individual lights Shadowline are available as an option. A new feature is the projection of an X2 logo from the exterior mirror on the driver’s side as part of the standard lighting package.

- Standard bi-colour interior appointments, M sport seats with integral head restraints and Dakota leather covers in eye-catching Mocha and Anthracite-coloured Alcantara. Contrast stitching in Orange on the seats, instrument panel and centre console. Floor mats with edge binding and stitching in Orange and entry sills with “Edition” lettering.
- Interior trim strips in Aluminium Hexagon Anthracite, BMW Individual headliner in sporty Anthracite, M stainless steel pedals, M driver’s footrest, M leather steering wheel and a car key with exclusive M identifier included as standard. Cars with a manual gearbox also have a gearshift lever with M badging.

Depending on the drive system selected, customers can specify front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, a manual gearbox or automatic Steptronic transmission.

* The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany. The range shown considers the different sizes of the selected wheels/tyres and the selected items of optional equipment, and may vary during configuration.
The values are based on the new WLTP test cycle and translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure comparability between the vehicles. With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle-related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2 emissions, the CO2 values may differ from the values stated here (depending on national legislation).
Further information on official fuel consumption figures and specific CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is included in the following guideline: 'Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen' (Guide to the fuel economy, CO2 emissions and electric power consumption of new passenger cars), which can be obtained free of charge from all dealerships, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
