Munich. The BMW Group has announced a change in personnel at the helm of the MINI brand. Effective 1 August 2024, Stefan Richmann will take over management of MINI from Stefanie Wurst, who has held this position since 1 February 2022.

The BMW Group announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe Parain as Senior Vice President Sales Regions Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Parain will succeed Hendrik von Kuenheim, who took the decision to retire after 37 years at the BMW Group.
The BMW Group has appointed Mr. Mike Wetherell as the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Financial Services for its Asia Pacific operations effective 1 January 2022. Mr. Wetherell is based in Singapore and replaces Ms. Ritu Chandy, who will relocate to Munich to take over as Head of Group Treasury.
Mr. Lars Nielsen will take up the position of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 September 2021. Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Nielsen served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at BMW Group Middle East in Dubai for nearly two and a half years.

Oliver Zipse will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG effective on 16 August 2019. The company’s Supervisory Board made this decision today during its meeting in Spartanburg, South Carolina (USA). Zipse will succeed Harald Krüger, who informed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the beginning of July that he would not seek a second term of office.

Singapore. Mr. Christopher Wehner will take up the post of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 August 2018. Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Wehner served as the Head of Product Management Midsize Class BMW for five years.
Mr. Paul de Courtois will take up the post of Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, with effect from 1 May 2017. Prior to his new appointment as the Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, Mr. de Courtois served as the Director General of BMW Group Poland for the last four years.
