Announcement: New appointment at BMW South Africa’s Group Communications and Public Affairs Division

BMW South Africa has appointed Thando Pato as Manager: Corporate Communications effective 1 September 2014. Thando will manage all corporate and product communications on the MINI, BMW i and BMW Motorrad brands. She will report to Edward Makwana, Manager: Group Automotive Communications, who will now solely focus on the BMW brand.

Midrand. BMW South Africa has appointed Thando Pato as Manager: Corporate Communications effective 1 September 2014. Thando will manage all corporate and product communications on the MINI, BMW i and BMW Motorrad brands. She will report to Edward Makwana, Manager: Group Automotive Communications, who will now solely focus on the BMW brand.

 

Thando joins BMW South Africa from Times Media where she was Business Manager: Editorial in the magazine division. Between 2010 and 2013 Thando worked as a magazine publisher and managed Business Class, ELLE, ELLE Decoration and Stuff magazines. Thando has written extensively across a range of popular lifestyle publications during the course of her 12-year career in media.
