Guastalla / Munich. Smeg has teamed up with MINI to design a
refrigerator inspired by the Design of the new Cooper S. In a limited
edition of 250 individually numbered units, it is already a cult
object.Distinctive, sporty, vibrant: the new Smeg FAB28MCS refrigerator
is soulmate to the new MINI. The bright and breezy character of this
novel duo will certainly not pass unnoticed on the international scene.
The partnership between MINI and the Italian domestic appliances firm,
brings together two brands that stand out for a similar passion for
design, innovation and customization. The result of this liaison is an
exclusive refrigerator in a limited edition of just 250 individually
numbered units whose aesthetic appearance features the distinctive
characteristics that instantly made the MINI a cult vehicle worldwide.
This Smeg refrigerator is finished in the same Laser Blue as the launch
colour of the new MINI. Its door features the same twin white bonnet
stripes as those of the MINI that won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964 and
which have been associated with the sports MINI ever since. Both the
refrigerator and the vehicle, therefore, take inspiration from the same
historical period. Smart and elegant, Smeg and Mini reinterpret the
glorious past with a modern edge, each employing the rounded lines
typical of the '50s and '60s. Furthermore the model FAB28MCS - MINI
Cooper S features other inimitable style details. The MINI logo,
positioned at the centre of the refrigerator, is associated with the
Smeg logo and the handle is the very same one that features on the door
of the new car. To improve grip the rear of the refrigerator handle
features a recess identical to that of the MINI: it is this attention to
detail that is the Smeg trademark. The FAB28 has a long history.
After the first series in pastel shades, which caused a sensation, the
colour range was increased to include brighter shades (red, black,
lime, orange) and, over time, the Smeg refrigerator became a status
symbol in its own right. More recently, it has become available in other
highly original versions: Tricolour, featuring the Italian flag, Union
Jack with the British flag, and Colour Stripes. The latest achievement
is its association with the new MINI, with which it shares a precise
market position: appealing to a young target audience with a passion
for design, and a cool, dynamic style. The Smeg refrigerator and the
MINI Cooper stand out as a winning team whose strength lies in their
perfect harmony. FAB28MCS Characteristics • Energy efficiency

passion and fun. The new model, as its predecessor, is classic, chic
and exuberant. The original design was penned by Alec Issigonis in
1959. In its rally version the MINI Cooper 'S won The Monte Carlo
Rally from 1964 to 1967. In September 2000, 40 years after its
revolutionary debut, MINI joined the BMW Group. In four decades a lot
has changed in everyday life, technology and creative languages. At the
same time, MINI universe has developed. The new car is sophisticated,
stylish and sporty and it reflects both the high performance and
personality of its predecessor. Design, comfort and safety features
have been entirely renewed - thanks to this, to its history and its
personality, the new MINI is at ease even in the new Millennium. SMEG

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information are available at www.bmw.de/wltp and at www.dat.de/co2/.
