BMW Group Middle East announced the launch of BMW Premium Selection - a
new used car program with worldwide consistent product & quality
standards. The first markets in the Region to offer this program to
their used car customers are Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, followed by the
rest of the region in 2007/2008. BMW Premium Selection will be
available on selected vehicles at certified BMW dealerships beginning
of August. BMW Premium Selection is a sub-brand of BMW Group and is a
worldwide manufacturer-based used car program. The program targets the
premium used car market and offers selected BMW pre-owned vehicles to
the customer that match the strict worldwide manufacturer used car
standards ensuring highest levels of quality, reliability and value to
the customers. "With this program in place, we strengthen the
premium experience of our customers at the dealerships and extend our
high service and product standards to the pre-owned business,"
said Guenther Seemann, Managing Director, BMW Group Middle East.
"We have therefore developed an industry leading program that
offers our customers an excellent product based on uniform global
premium standards on the purchase of a Pre-Owned BMW with the range of
services," he added. BMW Group Importers offering the program have
to undergo specific trainings combined with frequent audits and match
strict process standards in order to get the approval to offer BMW
Premium Selection in their premises. "We want to ensure that each
pre-owned vehicle sold under the BMW Premium Selection Program sticks
to its promise - to be a best pick in terms of value, quality and
service amongst the vast offer in the used car market". Vehicles
sold under the program must have an approved and documented vehicle
history as part of the criteria, pass a strict 75 point check by factory
trained BMW experts, are technically and visually refurbished, and have
less than 5 years or less than 100,000 km mileage. Further premium
services like an exhaustive 12-month warranty, Roadside Assistance and
individual financing offers are included in the program. "There
is a massive potential in the premium pre-owned car market in the Middle
East region. With BMW Premium Selection we take the lead and set the
benchmark on a global level in this line of business of the automotive
industry. In the future the significance of pre-owned vehicle business
for the BMW Group will increase even further." said Seemann. A
special portal has been created providing customers with all relevant
information around BMW Premium Selection, including a state of the art
Internet Stock Locator for vehicles offered under the BMW Premium
Selection Program in the region. www.bmw-me.com/BPS will be live as of
first of August 2006. Customers will be able to check current cars on
stock at the selected dealer, obtain all car information such as
current mileage, retail price, car specifications and dealer contact
data. The industry-leading portal is very user friendly and offers
visitors a broad range of search functionalities to select their
individual BMW Pre-Owned Vehicle. With this portal BMW Group Middle
East aims at providing customers with easy access to its pool of BMW
Premium Selection vehicles across the region.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information are available at www.bmw.de/wltp and at www.dat.de/co2/.
