MINI showcases MINI STRIP and MINI Recharged at Singapore Motorshow 2023.

Singapore. MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat today presented the MINI STRIP and MINI Recharged at the Singapore Motorshow 2023, Singapore’s largest annual motoring event held at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre. Thetwo project vehicles, created in collaboration with British designer Sir Paul Smith, are on display alongside the MINI One 5-Door Undaunted Package, and new iterations of the MINI Electric Resolute Edition and the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition.

MINI STRIP.

A uniquely-MINI take on sustainability - this custom-made one-off car shines the spotlight on an innovative approach to sustainable automotive manufacturing. Guided by the overarching theme of ‘Simplicity, Transparency, Sustainability’, the car showcases inspirational ideas for a more sustainable method of automotive design, whilst paying ode to the brand’s birth story as a creative and sustainable solution to the mobility needs of its time in the 1950s. This car is designed with a twist – as the name suggests, the process began by completely stripping down a MINI Electric and reducing it to its structural essence. Only those elements that Sir Paul Smith viewed as absolutely necessary were then defined, implemented and put in place – with sustainability taking a front seat.

MINI Recharged.

During the oil crisis in the late 1950s, the original Mini was a creative urban solution – a revolutionary invention that transported four people and their luggage on the smallest possible footprint. Today, a legendary classic is transformed into a newly designed and modernised electric car for emission-free driving. MINI Recharged gives the classic 1998 Mini Paul Smith Edition a new lease of life with an all-electric engine. "Three things describe this car perfectly: quality, sustainability and functionality," the designer explains. By deliberately leaving out trim parts, the bodyshell with its bare, unclad floor pan dominates the interior, with rustic floor mats made of recycled rubber on top. In addition to innovative, resource-saving materials, Paul Smith's design leaves out entire instruments in other places: a magnet next to the steering wheel accommodates the smartphone, which, apart from the speedometer, replaces almost all the old buttons and functions on the dashboard.

MINI One 5-Door Undaunted Package.

MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat today announced the availability of the Undaunted Package for the MINI One 5-Door. This is available with exterior colours including Rooftop Grey, Nanuq White, Melting Silver, Chili Red, and British Racing Green. The models are fitted with John Cooper Works accessories such as the Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, and Rear Spoiler, finished off with 17-inch wheels in Tentacle Spoke Black. A single bonnet stripe runs across the front to the rear of the car. Models with the Undaunted Package are also fitted with a Carbon Black leatherette interior, sporting the Undaunted logo on the interior surface.

MINI Electric Resolute Edition.

From January 2023, the MINI Resolute Edition can be ordered not only in its signature Rebel Green, but also in Nanuq White and Enigmatic Black. The roof and mirror caps can also be painted Pepper White or black to match. The new paint finishes are combined with the exclusive Resolute Bronze finish to highlight hallmark MINI design features. This includes the headlight surrounds, the radiator grille and rear lights, the side scuttles on the front side panels, the handles of the doors and tailgate, as well as the air intakes in the front apron and the fuel filler cap.

MINI Cooper S Countryman Untamed Edition.

The MINI Countryman Untamed Edition, originally available solely in Momentum Grey, is now available for order in Nanuq White. In addition to the bodywork, the new colour option also covers the MINI logos, the rear and front bumper, the side skirts and the underride guard.

The Edition-typical graphics on the door as well as the side scuttles set an expressive contrast with the Frozen Blue Stone paint finish.
